Andy
is our middle son, who was born in 1993. He has been a very independent child,
even as a baby. He began walking at only 10 months, and started his
"terrible two's" at about 12 months of age. He began talking in
sentences not long after that, although his favorite word was still
"No!" Andy has always tested the limits, with a fast wit and verbal
skills to attempt to escape punishment. Many years of prayer have gone into
raising Andy, which has finally paid off. In the beginning of 1998, Andy became
much more interested in spiritual matters, and began to pray with sincerity. His
rebellion lessened and he began to call himself a Christian, something which Matthew,
our oldest son, disputed. This led to several theological discussions between
the boys. On Memorial Day, 1998 (May 25), Andy asked to become a Christian, and
made a confession of faith in Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior.
